As the host country this year, Germany continued its great run of the late 70s-early 80s with yet another top-5 placing (and one that was even leading at the early stages of the voting!). Not without reason, since this is indeed a memorable and atmospheric ballad with a competent performance.

Sadly, this was one of Hoffmann & Hoffmann's last appearances - since, a year later, singer Günther Hoffmann would tragically take his own life by jumping from his hotel room in Rio de Janeiro
